What is this WilliWieberg thing all about? Actually nothing special, it has just been my internet nickname for some years now. Eventually, some of my flickr friends started to call me by this name which is rather funny.

My real name is Johannes and I live in the beautiful city of Hamburg, Germany. If you wonder why this blog is mostly in English, well, it is because I like to exchange thoughts, ideas and photos with everyone here on this planet! But now more about my photography, it is the thing which drives me. I began taking analogue slides 18 years ago at the age of 16 then changed over to a digital SLR in 2006. This gave me a boost in my creativity and proficiency as a photographer. Since then my skills continually advanced which created the potential for areas of speciality.

One of my main focus points is landscape and travel photography. I have traveled to many destinations around the globe. With my camera at my side, I have taken photos of what I saw and what I experienced which was a great way of sharing these impressions. Check the categories section of this blog, there you’ll find a selection of my travel photography.

Since 2007, I focus on wedding and event photography expanding my knowledge and skills from assignment to assignment in these interesting and challenging areas. So stay tuned, it will be worthwhile to follow my progress and my adventures and to see what will come next at WilliWieberg.de.
