Welcome to Bangkok!
Hello and welcome to Bangkok and welcome to the city of traffic jams! The number of cars, tuk tuks and motorbikes is just unbelievably high and the roads are at their limit. But being a visitor and knowing about the return date to my peaceful home, I am able to see the beauty of Bangkok traffic.
Traffic is not just 3-dimensional in Bangkok, to me it seemed that there is a fourth or even fifth dimension: the subway in the underground, the never ending traffic jam on the ground, pedestrian walkways at around 5 meters height, the Skytrain and/or highway at 10 meters and sometimes another level on top of it all!
This concrete jungle gave me the feeling of being a time machine traveler, catapulted into the year 2050, or being part of a science fiction movie…
