the people: it took me a while to balance the reasons for finding out the number one. but at the end it all comes down to the people and how they made me feel welcomed and at home in Thailand.

nature: whether it is jungle, mountains or beaches, Thailand’s nature is stunning!

reason no. 3 [culture and religion!]
culture and religion: I am not a Buddhist but I appreciate what this religion does to the people in Thailand! most Thais are friendly, open and warmhearted and I believe this comes through Buddhism. and on the other hand I like the temples, the monks and the rituals very much. this is so interesting to explore and experience!

In Chanthaburi, where this photo was taken, we were very welcomed by a member of the temple who showed us around and took the time to explain everything to us – a very special experience.

reason no. 4 [good food!]
good food: Thai food is so delicious, always freshly made, very healthy and cheap! Thail people love to eat, that’s why you can find small cook shops everywhere in the streets.
